It is cold and wintery...With so much "ummm" and "eerrrr" going on in our house, we had a cold hard look at our finances and our plans... What are we going to do long term? I came to UK and looked for work. I have spent time looking and looking. One plan was this: assuming I found work, I would go and work, while staying at a friends house or a member from church, cycle to work and save money, Ligia and kids would stay with her mum in Portugal, and we would see each other a few months later (or once every few months like we did when we were dating!)... This idea was rejected by my wife and kids, so we had to look for alternatives. Well, after much searching, and headaches, 3 things lined up... - A job... - a caravan for the right price... - A caravan site that we could stay on long term near the job... Yes, you read that right.... A caravan. So instead of opting for a house, we bought, (rather "I bought" with my wife's blessing!) an ABI Marauder. In good condition for its age and one that came with lots of extras (water tank, tables, chairs etc.) I paid slightly more than I wanted to (Almost all our savings at the time), but out of the dozen vans we saw it was in the best condition, no leaks, or rot and nice amount of extras. She has been looked after! Her name is Myrtle. So, our new chapter... A caravan... Lets see where this goes.... Unpacking and repacking our stuff into the caravan and awning...
