I have done it! I got to Edinburgh! As soon as I stepped outside the heavens opened, and there came the snow! :)
So I made my way to the taxi ranks, and was straight away helped to a taxi. They took me to the Halfords where I had arranged to meet the man with the bike I have bought. I know and re-iterate that I am well aware of the risks I took to get this bike and to fly to Edinburgh. Well aware. But it was a risk I was willing to take.

So... My wife has a Bike....A few days ago we brought home my wifes bike. Like bringing home a newborn, we were very careful to make sure there were no bumps or scratches made to it! Then we had the issue of finding a space to put it... and the boys bikes... and our 2 trailers... oh... the house is becoming a bike warehouse!
It is a Wilier cittadella bike. It cost a pretty penny but thats okay, because we actually saved up for it! Here is the brochure for the Italian made bike... The Cittadella It is my wife's first bike since she was a kid... and excited by it, she is! 2014 has been a year full of ups and downs...
Crying... and joy... and dealing with funny looks from family... With the year 2014 ended we are still adjusting to having said goodbye to a "member" of our family... It has been a busy few weeks, so apologies for not updating earlier!
Here is a quick run down: the update for all updates.... The last few weeks, we have:
We are still alive! I realise I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, so figured I had better say we are still here! DownsizingOur quest to downsize is still in full swing... however slow it may be... We have been living as if we have a 2 bed house since our 3rd bedroom is now stocked up with items to sell. We have been learning that plans have to be flexible and so do we. Our maps and plans are constantly in flux, but we have decided to sell up to explore a new lifestyle. But this week we hit a few snags... A sunny, busy, eventful day! :)As we continue to re-adjust out lives, we are trying to be more and more organised... and today was a brilliant example (for us) that we could do it....
Our Home schooling involved rolling around like maniacs.... followed by a lunch outside in the awesome weather! :) A great little place. So this week we - on the spur of the moment - visited the Butterfly house. We wanted a day out, and it was not too far, and there were not large animals, but it was more of a sanctuary. We got there a tad late, but still had a really great time and saw so much. The boys learned about the birds and butterflies and I poked a King Julian (Madagascar joke) Lemur in his soft belly. Then in the butterfly house we saw MASSIVE butterflies. So large, we witnessed a Butterfly vs Parrot fight over banana and the butterfly won.... Shocking... Our photos and Videos below:
